Rylie and Britt hit Oklahoma for another campout this month. They had another great weekend of camping, fishing, horseback riding and scavenger hunts. Rylie was really brave and tried a few new things this time. She ate crawfish!! Not something I would be willing to try, but she did it and liked it! They also made swaps for their fishing hats. She went on a swing that was tied from a big tree and swung out over the lake (how fun). She had a really great time with her friends. She loves spending time with her dad. This has been a really fun thing for just the two of them to do together.

ok, so my kids are smart, but so are the 220 other kids who write books at their school. They have a program at the Elementary where the kids can write a book and get it published. It is pretty darn cool! Only those that want to do it can. It is not a requirement. This was Rylie's second year to do it and Jackson's first. They literally write it themselves and draw the illustrations and then I type it and send it in to the school where they have a company that publishes the books. They have a reception at school and the kids are recognized and handed their published books in front of their parents. This year Rylie's book was called "Dog and Cat Go On A Blueberry Hunt". Jackson's was "My Adventure To A Dallas Cowboy's Game". They really are cute and the kids worked hard on them. Who knows maybe someday you will see a book at Barnes and Noble written by my really really smart kiddos!!!!!
